The Dallas Lace Society

Formed in 1981, The Dallas Lace Society is a non-profit organization and a chartered chapter of International Old Lacers, Inc. Our purpose is to continue and promote the art of lacemaking through education and demonstration. Focusing on Bobbin-made laces, many members also participate in other types of lacemaking including crocheted, knitted, tatted, and needle-made laces. We are often invited to demonstrate lacemaking at shows, festivals and fairs, introducing many people to the process of making lace, for the first time.

DUES

Membership fees for the Dallas Lace Society are $15.00 for one calendar year, pro-rated to $7.50 after July.

CLASSES

Informal instruction in Beginning Torchon Lace (bobbin lace), or Beginning Tatting is available to new members at most lace-ins.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops focusing on specific projects or techniques are scheduled throughout the year to help inspire creativity and improve our skills as lacemakers.

MEETINGS

Members are invited to attend meetings (or lace-ins), as often as they wish. Below is a listing of our regularly scheduled lace-ins. Guests are always welcome at our lace ins! Business Meetings occur quarterly.
